Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again. It is 1979, the day of the church’s Centennial Celebration, and past parishioners have gathered to share hotdish, bars, and stories from the last 100 years. As the women work in the kitchen, shared memories burst into life through a series of flashbacks. Travel back to 1897 and meet Vivian’s grandmother; see Karin as a newlywed cautiously navigating the politics of the kitchen; and be there in 1944 when Mavis first barreled her way through the door. The Centennial Celebration is bittersweet. Times are tough in this small farm community, and hard decisions will have to be made.

The church basement kitchen throughout much of America is often the heart and soul of any church. In Church Basement Ladies we meet the pastor, three kitchen cooks and one daughter who run the kitchen and care for the congregation by preparing and serving the food. Like any great kitchen, problems are solved here as well. We see the four women handle a Lutefisk dinner, a funeral, an Easter fundraiser, and a wedding. They stave off potential disasters, have fun, share and debate recipes, instruct the young, and keep the pastor on due course. This musical comedy based on recipes, food, and change in the church is funny, heartwarming, and down to earth. It will bring back memories of many people you know from churches everywhere.

Before entering Canada, we will make a stop in Bar Harbor, Maine and have a guided tour

Upon arriving in Canada, we will spend two nights in Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia. Peggy’s Cove is home to the most famous lighthouse in all of Canada
and is a highlight of the tour. When we are on Prince Edward Island, our guided tour will take us to picturesque rural villages, gently rolling pastures,
and the beautiful contrast of colors provided by deep red soil and the whitecaps on the waves. We visit the world-famous Anne of Green Gables Heritage Site
based on the novels written by L.M. Montgomery. Step back in time as you visit the home of fictional character Anne of Green Gables, stroll through Lover’s Lane or the Haunted Woods, and of course grab a treat at the Butter Churn Café.
The Hopewell Rocks are huge rock formations standing 40-70 feet tall, which were shaped by the huge tides from the Bay of Fundy. Our guided tour in New Brunswick includes the waterside town of Saint John, the City Market, views of the Bay of Fundy,
the Reversing Falls Rapids, and the history of Canada’s oldest incorporated city.
We also visit King’s Landing Historical Settlement, one of Canada’s premier tourist attractions, a living history museum with original buildings from the period of 1820-1920.
Before heading home, we will make a short stop at Niagara Falls State Park for time to view the falls and maybe even take the Maid of the Mist boat cruise on your own.

The Oak Ridge Boys Farewell Tour will continue to be farewelling in 2025, and the Crystal Grand Music Theatre announced that they have booked them again. They have added a new voice to their lineup on this Farewell Tour. Ben James, who is only 28 years old, did not disappoint the fans. "I'm not trying to fill Joe Bonsall's shoes. I could never do that. But I'm honored that I get to step in and try to help these guys out the best that I can."
